Virgilio Echter: Weekly comic series are always a gamble. They can either great (like 52) or a complete waste of money (like Countdown).With Batman Eternal, it seems to be leaning towards great. The writers involved (Snyder, Seeley, Fawkes, Layman, Tynion IV, Higgins) have done good work on the other Batman comics.However, if it is outside your budget, you can skip the weekly series.
