Gordon Showes: I've had this problem many times. I rest ! a few days and do a lot of stretching, particularly stretching! the opposite side of the injury. For shins the opposite side would be the calf area. Stretch a lot and begin running again. If it still hurts rest and stretch and repeat cycle until the problem is gone. So I had a ball hockey game a few days ago, and I got a shin splint from the game because I'm stopping and starting so much,a nd it's hard on my joints. I read on the internet that I should rest it for a few weeks, but I don't want to get out of shape. Could i still resume my regular training routine? Alexis Reyer: Try putting ice and then some heat on it. Also stretch it alot. I would say you can keep working out but the pain does get unbearable sometimes. If you can handle it then go ahead. I usually would rest it for a day or two you won't get out of shape. Also when you run put some tape on your foot. Ask your coach about the tape and how to put it on. Hope this helps.

Hal Rouse: I went from a healthy built 190 - 200 to an obese 345lbs man in 3 years. So far I am down to 315. Now I am doing wha! t I used to do to keep healthy.1. I eat 7 times a day. 3 nice meals and healthy snacks im between.2. Diets that leave you hungry don't work! You want to keep healthy and not activate your bodies natural starvation mode which stores more fat and lowers your metabolism.3. Best way to lose weight is to eat constantly, but healthy like I said before eating 7 times a day is a lot. The trick is instead of a 1000 calorie Big Mac eat a 1000 calorie salad, rice and beans with a quarter piece of chicken lol more is better!!! 4. Now eating 1000 calories won't do much help. But I am sure you get my point, if you're going to eat many calories try to get the most out of if.once you've figured out the amount of calories you eat daily without starving yourself you work out to burn those calories. the more muscle you obtain the more energy those muscles consume to to survive. You will burn more fat.daily cardio exercises are good, a nice walk for 3 miles won't hurt. Then do some dancing cla! sses, salsa, samba, tango or get into martial arts / kick boxing. Its f! un and a nice way to workout.while you're doing the above do heavy weights two times a week and in-between those days do light weights with massive reps. In less than a month you'll get back to shape.cause it's only 4 pounds you need to shed. But this routine will keep you on your toes and looking fresh. Now if you stop working out you'll gain weight like I did lol. 145 pounds, 3 years. Eating 2000 calories a day.
