What to expect at a mental health evaluation?

Pam Rampadarat: They will just talk to you and ask you questions. You will not even be aware of what they are making of your reactions. Just be yourself.

Sibyl Siwik: i think they will estimate your memory and attention by asking about your past history and they will evaluate your concentrating and listening power.

Irvin Guiles: when i got mine i felt depressed angry ect. they tell you things you dont really want to hear. go in there expecting to hear bad things and that should help it be better.

Carter Dewater: Here i s an excellent site with some wonderful options for you. It will definitely help you. Have a look. http://webmd54.notlong.com/AArjIXD

Carmelina Enoch: If it is going to last 3 or 4 hours I suspect that you will spend some time going over your history and behavior then you will probably take the MMPI (or a related test) to see about personality disorders..... it take a couple of hours to complete usually. Nothing to it.......

! Karie Mavle: They will ask questions about how you feel and your life history. It is really not that bad of a situation and may help guide you in the right direction. Good luck.

An Trebil: Just remember, the whole mental health field is a big business. Humans making themselves and others crazy and there are a bunch of Psychologists benefiting from this craziness of the world. First you need to find the reason for your anger and how you got into this alcohol issue. You have some hidden issues at this time you do not even know. I have heard about hypnotism which will reveal hidden issues. You can try that. Need to humble yourself and be close to God and ask for his direction. Read the book of wisdom from the bible and for that matter, I think every relegion has something similar to it. Book of wisdom worked for me. Good luck....Show more
