Is there a widespread software problem with Direct TV DVRs where they will not record?

They are the ones that told me of this widespread problem. * I tried both resetting via the red button as well as the hard reset via the system menus (did both with rep on the phone from 1-800-directtv).Again...I'm just ASTOUNDED that this issue is supposedly going on right now. Kizzy Hett: try and do a software download..do a red button reset..then when u see the ''hello your directv reciever is starting up'' hit 0 2 4 6 8. i am not sure if this will fix your problem, but if u have and questions u can message me. let me be the first to apologize for the actions of the directv rep u spoke with. i have never heard of such a thing. i actually believe that if the software download dont work, then ! u have a faulty reciever, and there needs to be a replacement in order. thanx for your time..Mike ...Show more

Basil Blasingame: sounds like you may have dialed a sub contractor or a telemarketer. make sure you call directv, ive installed their systems for years and have never been treated poorly
