Sharee Doak: The Blue book on my 2001 VW Passat station wagon is $6200. Has 72.000 miles. The Pepair Cost of $ $3,087 include:Valve Cover Gasket - $950, Coolant Tank & Flush - $265, Timing Belt - $907.28, Engine Mounts - $689.50, Master Window Switch - $164, Windshield Washer pump - $111.

Craig Virani: I don't know where you took it but those prices are ridiculous. Shop around for a better deal.

Virgil Menefee: advantageous. yet $one thousand is a ton of money; i assume your vehicle has the 4 cylinder engine. e book time is in basic terms over 6 hours, a water pump is around $60...one thousand dollars? it is approximately $a hundred and fifty an hour. Wow, i might decide for to charge that lots. perchance yet another $40 in antifreeze, however. go searching some extra. yet nevertheless, it is properly worth fixing they are intense-high quality autos.

Cyndy Grimes: What kind of car that need WHAT kind of repairs??? Break it down in parts and labor! What ca! r is worth $6000 dollars??

Ollie Hamiel: 265 for a coolant flush?

Maria Devenney: The Blue book on my 2001 VW Passat station wagon is $6200. Has 72.000 miles. The Pepair Cost of $ $3,087 include:Valve Cover Gasket - $950, Coolant Tank & Flush - $265, Timing Belt - $907.28, Engine Mounts - $689.50, Master Window Switch - $164, Windshield Washer pump - $111.

Lourie Mcroberts: You need to get some more estimates. Most of those are way too high,

Jorge Gerrero: DO it yourself it'll cost a fraction of that =) I got a Hanes manual for my vehicle and its help me save over $4,000 easy, it really breaks it down step for step but if this isnt an option that the choice and cost is up to you.

Mark Villifana: Sorry, repairs cost $3000

Chanda Wittwer: Sorry, repairs cost $3000

Dana Russian: These repair prices are way out of proportion. Your being ripped off. Go to this site and input your year make and model and your zip code. You will find pricing! in your area from dealers and local garages. I'm sure they ar! e much less expensive to help you. With today's economy a lot of business are slow and they take advantage of whoever they can. A reliable ASE certified shop can fix your car for a lot less money. hell that windshield washer motor can be fixed for under $50, the coolant flush should only be $60, valve cover gasket maybe $100 and the timing belt including the water pump maybe $500 or less, and the engine mounts possibly another $250 and that's even high so off the top of my head i see about $1000.keep shopping or simply go to this site:www.automd.com, input year make and model plus your zip and you can get pricing if you do the repair yourself, or by a dealer or by a local garage in your area. You can print out the estimates you get online and bring it with you if you like, but ask for a repair estimate 1st and see if they compare.good luck...and stay away from that shop for sure. If you live in Jersey i can point you in the right direction for repairs cheaper and by a very ! honest shop. he is so good that it takes about 2 weeks to get into his shop and customers don't care how long it takes because they get great repairs at an honest price....Show more

Joey Mekeel: While it may book for that your probably not gonna get it ive purchased many cars for several thousand less than the book, especially right now. I would say the cars more worth around 3 to 4 thousand so I guess if you want to keep it that would be fine (you would put into what its actually worth and have a real good running car). On the other hand if you'd like to purchase something different soon I would sell it on clist and get what ya can.

Barrett Zheng: It really does not make sense to spend $3,000 on a $6,000 car. Let's say you do spend the $3,000 to fix it. It is still only worth $6,000. If you were to sell it or trade it in on a better car, you only realize $3,000 out of its value since you already spent half of what the car is worth. Might be a better idea to! get rid of the car for whatever you can get for it now, then put the p! roceeds with your $3,000 repair money and buy something else (or use it as a down payment on newer car). Even if you have to make a small monthly payment, it will be worth it to you....Show more
