Clifford Gombos: You can *write* code in Notepad, but unless it's written in a script language, you'll need a compiler to turn it into a program. Of course you have to understand programming and the programming language you're going to use, and that can take from months to years to learn.
Hobert Dula: you can write any program you want. learn C, C++, C#, VB, Java, Python, etc. Depending upon the program you want ! to make, you will use a different programming language.
